For many people, killing dogs in video games never feels good, but it's often required of the player in plenty of action games and Far Cry 6 is no exception. One fan, however, captured a moment when they killed a dog in-game while their IRL dog watched in horror, a video that's making the internet rounds.

Posted to TikTok by user @KingKleiny, the video slowly zooms in on a dog as it watches someone playing Far Cry 6. Unfortunately, the player was attacked by an in-game dog and was forced to fight it off and eventually kill it as their real dog simply stares at the TV in sad confusion. Once the deed had been done, @KingKleiny's dog turns to look at the camera as if to say, "how could you do such a thing?"

Making matters that much sadder, the video is set to the track "Evil Morty" from Rick and Morty which is a slow, piano-driven song that picks up with some drums and eerie vocals perfectly in time with when the dog turns its head to look at the camera. Although the video gets a little sad if thought about for too long, it's pretty funny and has racked up nearly 7 million views since it was posted two days ago.

The Far Cry series has featured attack dogs before, but Far Cry 6 is the sole game that features Chorizo, an adorable two-legged dog companion. Before Far Cry 6's release, Chorizo served as something of a selling point for the title on his own based on just how cute how was in the marketing. It makes sense then that the dog is able to be used as a distraction in-game to allow for the player to sneak into bases undetected as the guards are too busy with the delightful Dachshund.

As fans have begun exploring the vast island of Yara, they've been discovering plenty of secrets hidden away in their time not fighting off attack dogs including a QR code that seems to suggest that a Far Cry battle royale might be coming sometime in the near future. The teaser video link that the QR leads players to doesn't explicitly say that a battle royale is what's coming, but based on the information in the clip, it seems like some sort of competitive multiplayer mode is in the works.

Far Cry 6 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
