Far Cry 6, the latest title in the long running franchise, arrived this month and let players square off with Anton Castillo, who is played by the charismatic TV star Giancarlo Esposito. As expected, players are dropped into the Cuban-inspired world of Yara, where it's up to them to take control away from Castillo and his army by joining a resistance group and utilizing guerrilla tactics. Outside of specific campoaign missions, Yara is completely open, letting players roam and do what they want.

For better or worse, Ubisoft's gameplay formula for Far Cry has largely remained the same since the arrival of Far Cry 3, with each game bringing a number of tweaks here and there. Taking players to a open world sandbox, typically in unique locations such as a tropical island, they're then set free to take back territory from the enemy faction as they see fit. The level of freedom can certainly provide for unique unscripted moments, which is a big reason why the franchise remains as popular as it is.

The latest example of this potential for Far Cry 6 open world chaos comes from Reddit user LeakyBums. Titling their video "The most Far Cry gameplay you'll ever see", the sub-1 minute video certainly escalates with encounters. Initially walking around with a grenade launcher, the player destroys a nearby enemy vehicle, causing a large explosion while also leveling them up. Almost immediately, the player is attacked from behind by what appears to be a massive bull.

Spinning around, the player fires a grenade round that bounces off the creature and explodes off the side of the road. Another round is fired and launches the animal into the air and past the player, though the creature stands up only to be set on fire by the player's likely homebrew style blow torch. As if that wasn't enough, a civilian vehicle pulls up during the carnage, to which they're shot by the player which prompts a warning message from the game. Lastly, another enemy vehicle rolls up for one last moment before the player is left to survey the destruction surrounding them.

While the franchise is known for the chaos the typically ensues with encounters, Far Cry 6 seems to take things a bit further to the point that many players are left feeling frustrated. New to Far Cry 6 is that enemies can now respawn, intended to always give players someone to fight. Unfortunately, the system seems to be a little too aggressive, especially for stealth players, as enemies respawn at a quicker pace, so those who want to take their time are finding that bases are repopulating before they can be completely cleared out.

Far Cry 6 is available now on Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
