It wouldn't be a good Far Cry game if there weren't any wild side quests to partake in. In Far Cry 6, players take control of Dani as they attempt to destroy the dictator Anton Castillo and free the fictional Caribbean island nation of Yara. Like most Far Cry games, Yara is an expansive unfamiliar environment that ultimately acts as a giant violent playground for gamers.

Of course, the franchise often features side quests that are just as memorable as its locations and villains. When Dani isn't fighting a fascist regime or wreaking havoc across Yara, there's still plenty of trouble for players to get into. Side quests in Far Cry 6 range from the moving to the wacky and bizarre, as well as everything in-between.

6 Tanks For The Likes

YouTubers might sometimes do ridiculous things for views, but Colton in Far Cry 6 takes it to a whole new level. He can be found in the Noventarmas region of the map, near the northeast peninsula. He'll ask Dani to film him while he runs through a battlefield of gunfire, grenades, and explosions. The catch? Dani has to stay right on his heels, and neither they nor Colton can do much to protect themselves other than run from cover to cover.

Dani reacts with confusion and panic, as can be expected. Colton, however, appears to be having the time of his life. It's rare for a game to have a quest with so much violence, and yet have the player remain pacifist. It's a weird and hilarious mission that satirizes the lengths that online personalities will go to in order to increase their influence. Also, its ending is fairly surprising.

5 The Seeds of Love

It's always nice when games show a gentler, softer side for a change. If players are looking for a break from the violent chaos and want a heartwarming (or heartbreaking) quest, they need to look no further than "The Seeds of Love." This quest comes after completing "The First Love," a similarly emotional quest in which Lorenzo Canseco at Mt. Guami asks Dani to deliver a letter to his lost love. "The Seeds of Love" has Dani completing a similar quest, but for Lorenzo's children.

While "The First Love" has Dani avoiding a hefty amount of deadly booby traps, "The Seeds of Love" offers a much more peaceful questline. Lorenzo has seven children, all spread out in the Conuco and Sierra Perdida regions. Each of his children has wildly different reactions; some are grateful, others are resentful. Some of the situations the player finds themselves in are conventional, some are awkward, and some are downright ridiculous. Needless to say, "The Seeds of Love" is far from a typical side quest.

4 Nothing to Hide

Far Cry 6 Starting The Nothing To Hide Mission

"Nothing to Hide" comes after completing the quest "Everything to Lose," in which Dani helps several farmers in the Fernando Valley. This mission, however, offers a much more action-packed scenario. Farmer Petra Toca's daughter has been kidnapped by Castillo's soldiers in hopes of gaining information on Libertad from Petra. Instead, Petra teams up with Dani to go rescue her.

As opposed to other side quests where players go in guns-blazing, "Nothing to Hide" forces players to go in with a bit more strategy. Since Petra doesn't know where her daughter is, players have to use stealth to eavesdrop on soldiers in order to discover where she's being hidden. There's an interesting bit of espionage leading up to the action, adding an extra layer of tension usually missing from more action-oriented parts of the game. Players also have to option to let Petra's daughter die, making it one of the few missions in the game with multiple outcomes.

3 Spur of the Moment

When players first booted up Far Cry 6, battling an insane chicken is likely the last thing they expected to be doing. But in "Spur of the Moment," they do just that. At Montero's camp in Costa del Mar, Dani will discover that the chicken "cockfights" have been rigged, with spurs being stolen. Dani is, of course, asked to recover these spurs back from Ramon, the man rigging the cockfights.

This being a Far Cry game, things get absurd pretty quickly. It starts off fairly normal, with the player navigating an empty bunker. In the end, however, they discover the mission's boss: El Pollo Loco. As the name implies, it's literally a crazy chicken, and arguably one of the wildest animals in the franchise. It isn't a necessarily hard battle, but the sheer wackiness of the overall quest makes it one not to be missed.

2 Loose Ends

There's nothing quite like a good cover-up. In "Loose Ends" Dani has to help destroy a spy network when the military begins to suspect the network's leader, La Moral. The quest begins in La Joya after completing both "The Lion's Roar" and "Tricks of the Trade." The mission has the player finding and destroying various pieces of evidence, before being asked to assassinate three military targets. These targets are all doing anything but their military jobs; the player will find them dancing, drunk, or inspecting a jaguar's cage.

After completing "Loose Ends", a brief but equally fun quest called "Turn the Party" will begin. All the players have to do is film Rosa Mel Paquete, and unlike with Colton, there's no gunfire to avoid. It's nothing but a cutscene, but it's both weird and funny, and a perfect way to top off an already great questline.

1 Dani & Danny vs. Everybody

Danny Trejo in Far Cry 6

Ever wanted to shoot up fascists while legendary actor Danny Trejo cooks up some delicious tacos? Well, as weird as it sounds, Far Cry 6 has just that mission. At some point, Bicho will call up Dani and say that not only is he good friends with Danny Trejo, but that he just showed up in Yara.

Of course, Dani is skeptical. But lo and behold, Danny Trejo is actually in the game. Trejo wants to cook tacos for the people of Yara, while the military wants the tacos for themselves. What follows is a fun and hilarious mission, which is exactly what Far Cry fans from the series.

This mission is part of a free DLC that was accidentally implemented into the game too early. A recent update has removed the quest with the promise that a completed version will be released soon. If what many gamers have already played was an incomplete quest, then the completed "Dani & Danny vs. Everybody" will likely blow all other Far Cry side quests out of the water.
