Far Cry 6 was released back in October, meaning many may not be expecting the best Black Friday deals on it. While it may not be as cheap as Deathloop on Black Friday, it seems retailers have discounted the title by quite a bit, and smart shoppers will be able to find some copies cheap this year.
Far Cry 6 is the latest in a long-running franchise, this time around focusing on a protagonist named Dani Rojas as they try to topple the Iron-handed dictatorship that Anton Castillo has enforced on his country, Yara. For those who loved past Far Cry games, it’s a good pick-up because the main criticism lobbed against it is that’s it’s more Far Cry. Sure, there is something to be said about innovation, but that won’t stop fans from enjoying their beloved franchises.
Beyond the base game, those who snag it cheap for Black Friday will also be able to check out the Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity DLC by purchasing its season pass (bought separately.) This DLC puts players back into the shoes of Vaas, which is in and of itself enticing enough for any fans of the franchise, but the Season Pass will also add DLCs based on Pagan Min and Joseph Seed, really celebrating the villain history of the franchise.
As such, those looking for a good deal this Black Friday season would do well to check out the various retailers mentioned below to find a good deal.
- Walmart – Far Cry 6 can be purchased for $35. The sale begins on November 22 at 7 PM ET and in-store on Black Friday (November 26) at 5 AM local time.
- Target – Far Cry 6 can be purchased for $39.99. It begins on November 21 and ends on November 27, with deals available in-store and online. For Thanksgiving Day, however, deals will be exclusively online.
As the date gets closer, more deals are likely to be revealed from other retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy. Deals are likely to remain in the 40-dollar range, meaning Walmart may have the best deal this season, but that remains to be seen. For now, the best thing to do is be ready with a video game shopping list and be ready to snag this at Walmart unless a better deal comes along.
