After a long wait, Far Cry 6 is finally available, with the next entry in the franchise taking players to the Cuban-inspired nation of Yara. Along their journey, players will encounter Far Cry 6’s unique weapons, special additions to the arsenal with unique looks and better stats. One of the first of these weapons is the Autocrat, a shiny gold pistol that players can obtain in the opening hours of the game.
Finding the Autocrat is relatively simple, with an asterisk. While it’s in a fairly obvious location, the player can miss it pretty easily depending on how hectic things are at the fort where it’s located. As always, it’s a good idea to have one of Far Cry 6’s animal companions to help manage some of the trouble.
Where to Find The Autocrat in Far Cry 6
The Autocrat can be found in Fort Quito during the mission Du or Die, where players will be tasked with infiltrating the fort’s armory and stealing depleted uranium. However, while the armory seems like an obvious place to keep the unique pistol, players will need to go to a different room entirely to find the Autocrat pistol.
To find the Autocrat pistol, go to the fort’s front wall. Be on the lookout for guards, as there will be a heavily armored one watching the entrance to the fort that takes a decent number of bullets to take down. On the inner portion of the Fort’s front wall, there’s a door on the ground level. Inside, there will be a sign labeled “Envio Y Recepion” and a ladder leading down. Climb down the ladder.
Here, players will find another ladder and a set of staircases. Below the staircases is a caged room with a locked door. There’s no key for the door, but that won’t matter. On the right side of the cage is a pile of plywood. Melee the plywood and it’ll break, revealing a pathway into the locked room. The Autocrat pistol will be in a brown weapon case sitting on a shelf.
The Autocrat is an elegant-looking weapon with solid stats compared to some of the other pistols. Its core mods improve aimed weapon damage and body shot weapon damage, so it can be a useful tool for clearing out enemies in a bind. Additionally, Its stats are significantly better than the PMM pistol, the first weapon players get in Far Cry 6, so it’s definitely worth making the detour while playing to obtain it.
