Chorizo is a paraplegic dachshund with a wheelchair that will be in Far Cry 6 as a companion, and many fans have already fallen for him.It's always big news when players can have and pet animals in video games, although it's worth mentioning that this is far from the first animal companion to join the franchise.
There are entire Twitter accounts dedicated to whether players can pet animals in games, like playing with the cat in Cyperpunk 2077 or being able to pet the chain chomp in Paper Mario: the Origami King. Far Cry 6 takes it to a completely different level, though.
While some animals in Far Cry games have been trying to murder the main character, Chorizo the handicapped dog seems like he'll be along to help out, seen in 4k in Far Cry 6 when it is released in February. He will be one of the companions, called Amigos in Far Cry 6, that players can have along to help them out in the city.
This tiny cutie has a little wheelchair, filled to the brim with what looks like tools, ammo, weapons, and scopes. Players are looking forward for having this little guy as a partner-in-crime, flooding Twitter with their love for the two-legged wiener dog Chorizo.
The Companion system, which featured heavily in Far Cry 5, will return, allowing players to have Chorizo and others as amigos along for the bloody ride into the world of Far Cry 6. But instead of Cheeseburger the Bear and Peaches the Mountain Lion, players will have this good little boy along with them, presumably to hold additional ammo and repair tools. Ubisoft describes him as "adorable wiener dog who's as cute as he is lethal."
If fans of the series pre-order Far Cry 6, they will get an alternate costume for this adorable little killer too. He'll have a bullet collar and spiky wheels on his tiny wheelchair of death to wear around the impressive Far Cry 6 city of Yara.
Fans don't know much about Chorizo the Handicapped Killer Pup just yet, but there's still a lot of time until the February release of Far Cry 6. But what else does anyone need to know about him with those big eyes? It remains to be seen what other animal companions come to the game, but Chorizo was a good choice for the first reveal based on his reception thus far.
