After Mr. Fantastic's cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, many have been petitioning for John Krasinski to be the canonical Mr. Fantastic in the MCU. Even his very talented wife, Emily Blunt, shares the same sentiment as many fans.

John Krasinski was illustrated as Mr. Fantastic by a Marvel fan and the image went viral. Nobody would know for sure he would ever play Fantastic Four leader Mr. Fantatstic until Krasinski's cameo in Sam Raimi's Doctor Strange 2, but it's still unknown who will play the role in the main MCU universe.

Fortunately, The Fantastic Four movie has already found its writers and is moving forward, and many hope Krasinski will officially be named the MCU's Mr. Fantastic. Even Blunt went on to even express interest in Krasinski returning to the role. "I hope so. I hope so," Blunt said during an interview with HeyUGuys when asked if Kransinki would be in Fantastic Four. "You never know. I was really happy for him because I think he's a huge fan. And I understand why it's such an ardent passionate religion for people. It's a huge part of our cinematic history now. So he was thrilled."

Even though Blunt has made it clear that she's not interested in being Sue Storm, it's very cool that she's very supportive of John Krasinksi's role in the MCU world. Many people are hopeful of seeing the return of Krasinski's Reed Richards, but right now everything is up in the air. There's no telling who the cast will be despite all the recent rumours, and now that Fantastic Four is delayed, it will probably be a while before casting is announced. Fans will just have to trust in Kevin Feige and the incredible casting team at Marvel Studios.

Now that several MCU films are being pushed back, fans are hopeful that the VFX quality will look a lot better and that the Marvel Studios VFX artists will no longer be overworked as they have with the recent releases. Many fans have been very vocal about their disappointment, so here's hoping that the climate gets back to a much more celebratory space.

Fantastic Four is scheduled to be released in theaters on February 14th, 2025.
