With Ben Affleck now officially back in the picture as the Caped Crusader, fans are eagerly anticipating how he will portray him in future installments as Batman. So much so that fans are giving some concept art of what he may potentially look like in fan-made posters of DC's 2022 hit The Batman.Recent fan art was made to see what a Batman movie could potentially look like with Affleck back as the titular character replacing Robert Pattison on a poster of The Batman along with other characters in the DC universe who could potentially be involved in a future installment with Batman.RELATED: Kevin Conroy's 9 Best Performances As BatmanIn a fan art poster made by Rahal Arts, the account created fan art in which Affleck donned the cape of The Dark Knight. With it came the caption, "In an alternate timeline, Ben Affleck was able to make his Batman movie #makethebatfleckmovie #batman #TheBatman #deathstroke." Along with Affleck were other DC characters who have previously been or were supposed to be in installments of the DCEU. That includes Jeremy Irons' Alfred Pennyworth, Viola Davis' Amanda Waller, Jared Leto's Joker, Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke, and Leslie Grace's Batgirl, all of whom could hypothetically be included in a future installment of a Batman movie should things progress with Affleck.

DC has more or less gotten its act together since its disastrous 2016 with Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. While their track record since then isn't spotless, they have proven that they know what they're doing now. Among the issues they had early on, Affleck's casting as Batman was not one of them. Now that both Affleck and supposedly Henry Cavill are back, for the time being, DC fans will now get to see what both will look like in a DC universe that has a much clearer direction now compared to where they were six years ago.

When DC goes forward with a solo Batman movie starring Affleck like they plan to, it'll be interesting to see how they approach the project since they are coming off the large success that was The Batman. Pattinson did a phenomenal job playing the inexperienced but still brilliant Batman in Gotham. Will they have two separate Batman stories with Pattinson as the younger Batman and Affleck as the older Batman? That could possibly work, though it would lead to fans wondering if there's going to be a Batman multiverse or time travel film in the works. Remember that Michael Keaton was supposed to return as his iteration of Batman before Affleck came back.

DC really doesn't have to follow the template Marvel set up. In fact, when they tried that, many thought it killed the DCEU entirely. In fact, because Marvel's follow-up projects since Avenger: Endgame have not been as well-regarded as they were before Endgame should serve as a red flag to those running DC that a cinematic universe can only work for so long. They don't have to have a big overarching storyline to get the fans to tune in. The fans loving Batfleck despite the lackluster movies he was in proves just that.

The Batman can currently be streamed on HBO Max.
