Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game that has left its mark on many gamers. Releasing in 2018, the Western action game took players on a narrative journey they soon wouldn't forget. Fans quickly grew attached to the characters in Red Dead Redemption 2, and have created tributes to them and the game since its release.

From impressive paintings and drawings of protagonist Arthur Morgan, to strange and funny edits that show what Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire would look like as the outlaw, fans have been creating all sorts of tributes for their favorite characters and moments from the game. Now, one fan has certainly taken a wackier approach to their fanart, creating a crossover between Red Dead Redemption 2 and King of the Hill, entitling the piece "King of the Ranch."

Posted to Reddit by user u/beauviolette, the piece depicts John Marston surrounded by the characters that make up the supporting cast of the epilogue of Red Dead Redemption 2. From left to right, the characters from King of the Hill are Bill, Hank, Dale and Boomhauer as Uncle, John, Charles and Sadie. This is by no means the first crossover piece of art that Red Dead fans have created though, and even the game itself sometimes accidentally creates crossovers, such as one bug that turned Red Dead Redemption 2 into an Attack on Titan crossover.

Fans of the game and TV show flooded the comments of the Reddit post to share their appreciation of the art, with commenters especially praising the choice of Dale as Native American Charles Smith, after Dale in King of the Hill practically revolves his life around Native American culture. One commenter also wrote they "always thought John and Hank had similarities. And Bill as Uncle is inspired." King of the Hill seems a popular show for gaming fans, as recently an Animal Crossing fan recreated the TV show's intro in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The story mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 hooked many fans to the game, and is something that keeps pulling players back either for another playthrough or to simply create a tribute to their favorite moment. One player created a whole calendar worth of their favorite moments in Red Dead Redemption 2, and other fans analyze the story along with all its moments, such as the importance of Arthur Morgan's hat.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
