Following several rumors, it was finally confirmed on Monday that Will Poulter will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Adam Warlock in the much-awaited Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. A few hours after the news broke, fans were already working on art to share their views on what he could potentially look like in the film.

While several fan images have been shared on social media since Monday, one that stands out is popular artist BossLogic’s illustration of Poulter as Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. While praising the director James Gunn for his past work and congratulating Poulter for landing the important role, the artist shared the image on Twitter. “I am excited to see where this goes,” he wrote.

Warlock’s look in the fan art is quite similar to his appearance in the Marvel comics. He is seen wearing a similar dark costume, with gold overlays, and a red cape. He even has blonde hair and the Soul Gem is seen shining bright on his forehead. The only thing missing is the gold skull at the collar, which Warlock wears in the comics.

Artist BossLogic has created several impressive posters and illustrations for movies and games over the years. His work includes some fantastic graphics related to the MCU. He often works on unique crossovers that fans would love to see play out on screen, such as his incredible mashup of the series The Mandalorian and video game Death Stranding.

In the Marvel comics, Warlock is created by a group of scientists, who refer to themselves as the Enclave. Their aim is to create the perfect being, and use him for their own missions. However, in the MCU, Warlock was first teased in the post-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Ayesha, played by Elizabeth Debicki, is seen unveiling a being that she has created in the scene, and her main mission is to use him to destroy the Guardians.

Since the film was released, fans have been patiently waiting for Warlock to play a role in the MCU. But, he hasn’t made an appearance yet. It does, however, seem like he will be playing an integral role in the upcoming Guardians film. Fans of Poulter’s work are quite excited to see the actor take on the role.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will premiere in theaters on May 5, 2023.
