A talented artist has shared their imagining of a Pokemon and Super Monkey Ball crossover. Over the last month, there has been an abundance of Pokemon fan art circulating on many online threads. From a biblically accurate Golbat created by one fan to a Charizard carved out of wood, October has been a busy month for creative Pokemon gamers. This latest pairing combines two iconic game franchises.

Super Monkey Ball has seen its share of collaborations with other gaming franchises adding particular skins. The latest one was from Persona 5 with Morgana, and characters from the Sonic franchise have also joined in on the fun Super Monkey Ball is known for. The now popular series first debuted back in 2001. It was ported from its origins as an arcade title known as Monkey Ball to Super Monkey Ball on the Nintendo GameCube. The idea during gameplay is that players control a character in a gachaphon ball containing their chosen character. The gamer then must clear the various stages by going as fast as possible.

A Reddit user and talented artist named rc1246 has created a piece titled "Super Meditite Ball." The image depicts the psychic fighting Pokemon inside the iconic gachaphon ball in the world of Super Monkey Ball. Mediitite replaces the mascot of the franchise AiAi, and ironically the two are incredibly similar in appearance. Also included in this crossover is Nanab Berries, which have replaced the usual Bananas. Every single detail, it seems, was thought of to bring this piece to life.

The artist shared that they used to rent games like Super Monkey Ball as a kid all the time, remarking how it was a much simpler and more leisurely time. Others on Reddit seemed to agree with the fan, adding that it brought back many happy childhood memories. Meditite was chosen according to the fan because this Pokemon's design always reminded them of AiAi.Some other gamers remarked how Pokemon needs to be included in the Super Monkey Ball franchise, while some said it inspired them to dust off their GameCube and play again. This fan art isn't the only one gaining traction recently, another gamer made a creative Metroid-inspired Halloween piece.

Super Monkey Ball may not have a Pokemon crossover yet, but its mascot AiAi did make it into Fall Guys last year during Season 5. Perhaps with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's imminent arrival on shelves soon, Nintendo will finally collaborate and send Pokemon to this beloved title.
