As a series, Fallout has been around since 1997 but has come a long way from its first game. Though its most recent iteration, Fallout 76, took a bit of a fumble at launch, there are still many fans who sing the franchise’s praises to this day. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, this RPG series has been published and developed by a few different companies over the years. However, despite the changes in companies, there’s one Fallout aspect that’s always remained the same—the presence of the mascot, Vault Boy.

In the games, Vault Boy is the mascot of the Vault-Tec Corporation. He’s featured on tons of different advertisements, manuals, products, training films, and more throughout the games. Players will mostly remember Vault Boy as the face of different stats in the Fallout games, with different characterizations of him paired up with different perks, traits, and skills. Fallout fans who love the Vault Boy are in luck, as Funko has created different Pop! Vinyl iterations of this tiny icon. All but a few of these figures are vaulted, meaning they’re no longer in production, and all prices reported are found on PPG (Pop Price Guide) and subject to change as the market does.

Vault Boy

The original Vault Boy Pop! Vinyl debut, this figure was released in 2015 in the first round of Fallout Pops. With his hands on his hips, this Vault Boy is ready for anything and currently valued at $7.

Vault Boy (Glow, Green)

A Hot Topic exclusive, this Vault Boy is green and glows in the dark. He was released in 2015, just like the original figure, and mimics the same stance with his hands on his hips. However, this is one of the few Pops still available, and is currently valued at $15.

Toughness

Vault Boy dons a cape and tights while modeling for the “Toughness” perk found throughout the Fallout games. This Pop! Vinyl, along with 3 others, were limited edition Hot Topic exclusives that could only be found in Hot Topic Mystery Boxes. Released in 2016, this figure is valued at $8.

Charisma

One of the most iconic poses of Vault Boy, this figure was released in 2016 as another Hot Topic Mystery Box exclusive. Despite the thumbs up being one of the most well-known poses for this character, the figure is only valued at $5.

Adamantium Skeleton

Introduced in Fallout 3, this perk helps reduce limb damage and is of course modeled by Vault Boy. Another Hot Topic Mystery Box exclusive, this 2016 figure is currently valued at $12 and even glows in the dark.

Medic

The “Medic” perk hasn’t been featured in all of the Fallout games, but it did make a comeback for Fallout 4. This Vault Boy holds a syringe and bag, just like in the game, and was the last of the 2016 Hot Topic Mystery Box exclusive figures. He also clocks in with the lowest value at $3.

Locksmith

Though this perk has undergone some name changes (“Lockpick” in Fallout 3 and New Vegas to “Locksmith” in Fallout 4 to “Picklock” in Fallout 76) its purpose remains the same—to help players pick locks easier. This Funko Pop was a Play and Collect exclusive, but the Canadian store went out of business almost a year ago. Currently, this 2016 release is valued at $17.

Vault Boy (Gold)

Modeled after the original Vault Boy figure, this completely gold variation was a GameStop exclusive released in 2016. It’s one of the few figures still “available” in stores and currently has a value of $8.

Nerd Rage

This is one of the latest Vault Boy releases, debuting in 2018. Styled with “nerdy” glasses and a ripped collar and sleeves, this figure is one of the lower valued Pops at $4.

Strength

The most recent Vault Boy released, this 2019 figure debuted alongside other Fallout 76 Funko Pops. He’s definitely the most-toned and least dressed of all the other Vault Boy figures and is valued at $9.

Bonus: Freddy Funko as Vault Boy

Freddy Funko is the mascot of the Funko corporation and has a variety of specialty figures dedicated to him dressing up as other iconic characters. At one point, Freddy Funko decided it was his time to shine as the Vault Boy as a San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) exclusive. The 2016 release currently has a value of $360—by far the most expensive of the Vault Boy Pops.

Most Vault Boy Fallout Funko Pops do not have an incredibly high value placed on them, but the trick for collectors trying to buy them now is finding a decent price that’s on par with PPG. At the end of the day, though, sometimes collecting Funko Pops isn’t about how much they’re worth—it’s about how much joy they bring to the collector.

Fallout 76 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
