Much has been said about Fallout 76's rocky release since it launched back in November 2018, and Bethesda still has a ways to go until fixing the online multiplayer game's wide range of bugs, glitches, and exploits. Speaking of the lattermost phenomenon, one player and his teammates recently glitched into the sealed Vault 63 on accident, took several screenshots of what appears to be a work-in-progress environment for DLC, and prompted Bethesda to respond.

According to the Redditor and Fallout 76 player known as McStaken, the players wound up inadvertently entering Vault 63 while doing a Rad-Rat Horde event, which caused their characters to get trapped in the area. After getting unstuck from the Vault in question, McStaken then sent a support ticket to Bethesda regarding the matter. One of the studio's community managers followed up with a response to the original Reddit post to state that the area is "still under construction", that the company's "glad to hear [McStaken] got in and out of the Vault in one piece," and that it appreciates players who "let[s] [Bethesda] know about stuff like this."

Prior to finding a way out of Vault 63, McStaken expressed trepidation that they would have their account banned for unintentionally glitching into the sealed area and then sharing what they had found with the community. This fear wasn't unfounded, for not too long ago, some players who discovered a hidden room with unreleased items that were only intended for developers received bans on their accounts for both visiting the area and exploiting its resources.

All things considered, it's great to learn that McStaken and his teammates won't get smacked with the Ban Hammer, and will still be able to explore Fallout 76's West Virginian Wastelands to their hearts' content. Also, it will be interesting to see what Bethesda has planned for Vault 63 in the future. However, it's safe to presume that most players would rather the publisher and developer get a better handle on smoothing out bugs and glitches like those experienced by McStaken before putting too much effort into DLC.

Fallout 76 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
