Over the weekend, Bethesda began a Fallout 76 stress test for Xbox One players in North America who have pre-ordered the forthcoming post-apocalyptic multiplayer action-RPG, but some gamers are wondering whether or not the studio will extend the courtesy to other platforms. As it so happens, Bethesda Vice President of Marketing and PR, Pete Hines, recently discussed the possibility of such a stress test occurring on PC and PlayStation 4 at some point down the line.

As seen below in the exchange between Hines and a Fallout 76 fan on Twitter, while Hines doesn't confirm that there will be a stress test outside of the Xbox One, he does suggest that there could be one for other platforms in the future. Should it occur, the Bethesda Marketing and PR Vice President said, "It would be similarly in advance of the full BETA", which is set to begin on October 23 for Xbox One, and October 30 for PlayStation 4 and PC.

As it currently stands, there's only a little more than a couple of weeks to go before Fallout 76's beta becomes available to PC and PlayStation 4 players, so if Bethesda does plan on having a stress test outside of Xbox One, it would need to hold one soon. With this being the case, the publisher and developer might eschew a PC and PS4 stress test in order to focus its efforts on the upcoming betas themselves.

All things considered, with about a month left before Fallout 76 officially hits store shelves, it will be interesting to see just how the game's respective beta tests are received by fans, especially with this being the franchise's first foray into online-only territory. With any luck, Bethesda will not only please players with Fallout 76's West Virginian Wasteland, but also manage to reignite interest the post-apocalyptic series as a whole with the project.

Fallout 76 is set to release on November 14, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
