As indicated by our beta preview of Fallout 76, Bethesda's forthcoming online-only title has plenty of potential when it comes to providing fans of the post-apocalyptic RPG franchise with the multiplayer Wasteland experience they have been pining for. Of course, the beta periods have also seen plenty of players encounter a fair share of technical issues and less than desirable gameplay features, some of which the publisher and developer will address in updates down the road. As it so happens, one of these tweaks to come in the future will be an increase to Stash sizes.

Following its reception of player feedback, Bethesda took to Fallout 76's official subreddit to not only thank folks for participating in the beta, but also the studio discussed concerns and complaints it's aware of, with the increase of Stash sizes being a priority. According to a spokesperson for the company, “While the Stash size at 400 weight limit can get easier to deal with over time, we do plan on increasing it in the future.”

While many Fallout 76 players will likely rejoice at Bethesda's decision to boost the cap on Stash sizes, it's important to note that the publisher and developer neither revealed when such a change will take place, nor did it state exactly how much bigger the increase will be. With this being the case, we will simply have to wait and see if Bethesda's changes to Stash sizes are significant enough and will be implemented ahead of the game's release next week.

Taking all of this into consideration, it seems as if Bethesda still has a good deal of work ahead in order to ensure that Fallout 76's launch is as up to par as possible with the promises it has made regarding much-needed refinements. Then again, due to the small window of time left to polish it, perhaps Bethesda will wait to put quality of life changes like the Stash size increase into effect post-launch. After all, the studio has already told fans to expect bugs upon release, so perhaps the company will be putting all of its focus on ridding the title of game-breaking issues first.

Fallout 76 is set to launch on November 14, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
