Fallout 76 is the flagship MMO for the Fallout game franchise. It allows the player to explore the radiated wastelands of Appalachia. Players can stake out their own destiny, meet new people, and fight a variety of mutated monsters.

However, some people and monsters are harder to find than others. Many kinds of encounters in Fallout 76 are randomly generated and can be really hard to find. For many players, there may yet be new things to discover out in the world that they haven't found yet. Here, we'll discuss a few of the rarest encounters in Fallout 76 that many players have likely not even discovered.

10 Lemonade Stand

Mr. Squeeze Fallout 76

The Lemonade Stand is a random encounter that can pop up all over Appalachia. It has no set location, meaning players have to get lucky and trip over this encounter while exploring the world.

The Lemonade Stand is run by a Mr. Handy that goes by Mr. Squeeze. He is a nice fellow who will sell the player recipes for Lemonade and Strong Lemonade. Poor Mr. Squeeze frequently speaks of his master, Jimmy, who is supposed to bring Mr. Squeeze real lemons. These are a rare commodity in the irradiated wasteland.

9 Mistress Of Mystery

Into the Mystery quest Fallout 76

The Mistress of Mystery is a young woman whose corpse may appear in one of 20 locations throughout the world of Fallout 76. She was a member of the Order of Mysteries, and leads the player to the "Into the Mystery" quest. The Order of Mysteries and the Mistress of Mystery take their name from the fictional comic book character of the same name in the Fallout universe.

This quest leads the player character to acquire the Veil of Secrets. This will allow them into the Riverside Manor hideout of the Order of Mysteries.

8 Lucy The Cat's Owner

Lucy The Cat's Owner Fallout 76

Lucy's Grave can appear in random locations throughout the world of Fallout 76. Lucy is a cat that was killed by a Mole Rat. Her owner, a young unnamed girl, may stand beside Lucy's grave. There is a toy alien near the grave that the player can grab, but Lucy's owner will call out the player character for the theft.

Giving the toy alien back to Lucy's owner will prompt the girl to give the player a toy rocketship. Also, for some reason, it seems that Lucy's owner is a ghost with a gun.

7 The Nightstalker

The Nightstalker Fallout 76

Investigating a radio broadcast from an anti-government militia called the Sons of Dane leads the player character to a quest called "One Violent Night". This broadcast is fairly frequent and easily found, but not everyone will answer the call. However, doing so will lead to a compound run by the Sons of Dane, and their plans to kill a creature called the Nightstalker.

The Nightstalker is an irradiated Wendigo that the player can attract by making a lot of noise. Feral Ghouls will first attack the player and their compatriots, but surviving the Ghouls will bring out the deadly Nightstalker.

6 Treasure Hunter Mole Miner

Mole Miner Treasure Hunter Fallout 76

This particular encounter is rare because it only appeared during a timed event in Fallout 76. The Mole Miner Treasure Hunter appeared during the Treasure Hunter event, and could be found in the Ash Heap.

This particular Mole Miner was laden with loot and would flee from the player once encountered. They would never fight back, but the player could get some decent items if they slew the Treasure Hunter.

5 Holiday Scorched

Holiday Scorched Fallout 76

This is another special encounter that players could only encounter during a specific time in Fallout 76. There was a holiday community event that allowed the player to fight Holiday Scorched.

These Scorched were, appropriately, dressed as Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, or just wore a festive winter pantsuit. They would also jingle as they walked, and would always be considered Legendary encounters.

4 Insult Bot

Insult Bot Fallout 76

The Appalachia wasteland can be brutal enough without experiencing verbal abuse, but that doesn't mean no one is going to talk trash. The Insult Bot is literally programmed to do just that. It observes and evaluates targets in order to formulate the most cutting insults. It was originally deployed at a high school as an experiment, but it's survived to the present day to continue insulting anyone in its path.

This encounter is completely random and isn't tied to any event or quest. Finding the Insult Bot is just a rare and random event. Despite the insults, it is a treasure players should cherish.

3 The Eyebot And Its Rats

Pied Piper Fallout 76

There is another rare robot encounter similar to the Insult Bot in Fallout 76. This particular encounter is unnerving but completely harmless. Players may find an Eyebot Pied Piper in random locations throughout Appalachia.

This Eyebot plays "The British Grenadiers" on a flute recording, and is followed by five Radrats. Neither the Eyebot nor the Radrats will attack the player, but the whole thing is still eerie as all get out.

2 Prime Beast Bosses

Sheepsquatch Fallout 76

This is another creature that can be found in Fallout 76. It's also tied to a timed event in the game, this time the Primal Cuts event. This event unlocks a type of quest that can be performed at various locations, wherein the player gathers "Prime Meat" for an NPC named Grahm.

The quest has the player fighting off hordes of Prime beasts until a Prime Beast Boss arrives, and the boss is different at each location. The Forest offers a Deathclaw, Toxic Valley has a Grafton Monster, the Ash Heap has a Sheepsquatch, the Savage Divide has a Hermit Crab, the Mire has a Mirelurk Queen, and Cranberry Bog has a Super Mutant Behemoth.

1 Scorched Mothman

Scorched Mothman Fallout 76

This final encounter is a cryptid that players may find throughout Appalachia, the Mothman. The Mothman is a cryptid beast that, allegedly, lives or has lived in the real world. However, they are definitely real in Fallout 76. The Mothman is one of the rarer creatures in the game, but the Scorched variant is even rarer.

A Scorched Mothman must have been exposed to the Scorched plague, meaning that the Mothman has been attacked by a Scorchbeast. One possible easy location to find a Scorched Mothman is inside the Enclave Research Facility Site-J, which can be found in the Forest of Appalachia.
