Fallout 76's Wastelanders update went live earlier this week, and it has brought an influx of players to Bethesda's multiplayer RPG. As these fans explore Appalachia they may notice that player vending is currently disabled in Fallout 76, and indeed they may wonder why that is the case. Fortunately for these players, Bethesda has provided details on the situation as well as information on when player vending should be restored in FO76.

The reason that Fallout 76's player vending is disabled at this time is that some players were using this system to enact a duplication glitch, which allowed them to easily create unlimited ammo, junk, and more. To combat this duplication glitch in Fallout 76, Bethesda has chosen to completely prevent players from marking items as for sale in their Vending Machines and has also made it so that fans cannot purchase any items that were marked for sale before player vending was disabled.

With respect to when player vending will be operational again, Bethesda has indicated that it is working towards launching a fix on Tuesday, April 21. This means that players will not have to deal with Fallout 76's player vending being disabled for too long, though the timing for this issue may be a bit frustrating to those fans that are trying to enjoy the newly-launched Wastelanders update.

Notably, FO76's player vending is not the only thing that is currently disabled due to the aforementioned dupe glitch, as fans will find that C.A.M.P. Display Cases have also been hit. Indeed, players cannot currently assign items to Display Cases in Fallout 76, though they can still build new ones or scrap/store existing ones if they so choose. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that any items that were assigned to Display Cases before they were disabled can be found in a player's Stash Box.

While disabling player vending and Display Cases in Fallout 76 may be a slight nuisance, response to the Wastelanders update has been generally positive. Indeed, there is plenty of new content for players to occupy themselves with, from new weapons to a new monster, and hopefully that will be enough to keep their minds off of the issues at hand.

Fallout 76 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
