Despite the fact that Bethesda has stated that it can't fix all of Fallout 76's beta bugs by launch, the gaming giant appears to be giving it the good old college try. The result is a massive full download for the online-only multiplayer game that totals in at 96.6 GB, with a significant portion of that dedicated to combating the aforementioned bugs.

The original file size, for comparison, is 45.04 GB, which is topped by the day one update. Weighing in at 54.641 GB, the day one update looks to fix some of the bugs discovered in the beta, and given the size and scale of the Fallout 76 map, this download is no surprise.

Contained in the day one update are fixes for the invite issues, the hunger gauge, and the random gun shot audio glitch. Of course, the update is likely to fix a lot more than just that, but we will have to wait for the full patch notes to drop before seeing all the fixes. It's also worth mentioning that Bethesda will probably fix the highest priority mistakes first, as those could take away from the experience at launch.

One known priority currently scheduled to come in future updates will include a Stash size increase, which many thought to be too small in the beta. It will be the same size at launch, but players can look forward to the increase since they know it is in the works. Announcements like these are always a great thing from a developer, as it lets the player base know they are listening closely.

While Fallout 76 will not be perfect at launch, it's nice to see Bethesda hard at work with the known beta issues. For those on the fence about picking up this online-only shared world game, we recommend checking out our first impression preview. One thing to keep in mind in the coming days is that, with Bethesda, it's not always a bug. Sometimes, it's a charming feature.
