It hasn't been a good time to be a fan of the Fallout series. Gamers have been severely disappointed in Fallout 76, from the game itself to the quality of the Collector's Edition bonuses. Now, Bethesda is responding to complaints regarding the quality of the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition bag, but its resolution may not satisfy everyone.

Gamers have been taking to social media to complain about the switch from the promised West Tek Canvas duffel bag to a simple nylon bag. Initially, gamers who took to Bethesda's support system to complain were met with a curt response that the company had to change the bags due to cost, and buyers were simply out of luck. Now, according to Bethesda, the initial response came from an temporary contract employee working with a support company, not Bethesda, and did not relay the company's official stance on the problem.

At this time, players are still stuck with their nylon bags as the company has not offered any method of replacement. However, the developer posted to social media to offer buyers of the Collector's Edition 500 Atoms in its microtransaction currency for Fallout 76 as compensation.

While it stands to reason that Fallout 76 buyers would have use for the Atom currency, the amount offered by Bethesda is being considered laughable by many. In addition to the fact that 500 Atoms won't get players very far in Fallout 76's microtransaction shop, it only amounts to $5 USD in the real world. Needless to say, many of those who spent $200 on a Collector's Edition aren't particularly pleased with the offer.

Fallout 76 has struggled considerably since its release, between game-breaking bugs, glitches, and a general level of disappointment among its players. Of course, Collector's Editions are primarily targeting long-term fans of game series who are willing to spend out a little extra cash for unique collectibles, so this latest hit is impacting Bethesda's core audience and devoted fans. Disappointed buyers may also not be convinced just yet about the compensation, either, as the same offer was made to early adopters after Fallout 76's price cuts, and some have experienced difficulty redeeming that offer with Bethesda's support system.

Fallout 76 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
