After coming under fire for falsely advertising the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition, Bethesda officially announced that the studio will be sending out replacement bags for owners of the $200 edition of the game. The Power Armor Edition shipped with a nylon bag instead of the originally advertised canvas bag, but owners of the special edition will be able to contact the studio to get the bag that was advertised.

To claim the replacement canvas bag, owners of the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition will need to head over to Bethesda’s support page and fill out the replacement bag form to submit along with the proof of purchase of the Power Armor Edition. Bethesda has stated that the bags are going to be manufactured soon, and will be sent out to those who request them as soon as the manufacturing process is finished. Owners of the Power Armor Edition will need to submit the replacement form by January 31 to be eligible for the canvas bag.

This is not the first attempt Bethesda has made to address the fans who are angry over the false advertising. Originally, Bethesda issued a statement saying that players could provide proof of purchase of the special edition to receive a meager 500 atom credit to their Fallout 76 account.

This method of compensation angered many fans, as 500 atoms equates to approximately $5 USD, which is not enough to even afford a canvas bag in-game. It seems that enough pressure by the Internet has caused Bethesda to give in and give players what they originally ordered.

While some fans may be happy to finally get the bag that was shown in the advertisements, others are still not happy with the current state of Fallout 76 itself. While Bethesda has stated that it is working hard to make the game better, some fans have had enough altogether. A law firm based in Washington, D.C. is even preparing a class action lawsuit against the studio for refusing to honor refunds. While Bethesda is fixing some of the issues it has faced since Fallout 76's launch, it seems like there is still more controversy unfolding over the post-apocalyptic multiplayer title.

Fallout 76 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
