One dedicated Fallout 4 fan creates a massive battle setting for Fallout 4, pitting 20,000 of the post-apocalyptic RPG’s Red Ghouls against the Commonwealth.

It seems as if the YouTuber Cosmic Contrarian is going to try and incorporate all the possible varieties of putting each and every Fallout 4 enemy and non-playable character into a battle with one another before running out of combinations, because he’s back yet again with another large scale skirmish for Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG. This time around, Cosmic Contrarian has decided to pit a modded version of 20,000 Red Ghouls against the entirety of Fallout 4s Commonwealth, and the results are definitely epic.

Of course, we’ve seen numerous examples of an NPC getting slyly attacked by Ghouls before, but never quite like this. As it happens, the swarm of Red Bloated Glowing Ones in Cosmic Contrarian’s video are akin to an unprovoked plague personified that swoops into a quiet settlement only to mercilessly destroy Fallout 4‘s human population one by one.

As seen in the video below, Cosmic Contrarian was able create plenty of interesting effects in his Fallout 4 battle by allowing for lots of red contrasts with the blue-black dark of the night sky, and the YouTuber even added some flaming visual FX to the zombie-like monsters’ treads when they run and are killed. According to the clip’s description, Cosmic Contrarian had some outside help on the mods for the Red Ghouls, as modders Galejro and herpderp2332 assisted him in putting the creatures together. Furthermore, most folks would agree that the metal soundtrack from the Killing Floor games gives the footage an added edge of intensity.

As many Fallout 4 fans are probably aware, this is far from Cosmic Contrarian’s first contribution to making giant turf wars within Bethesda’s open world title. In fact, his one of his most recent creations prior to today’s video was a re-imagining of a battle with Terminators decimating Boston. Although the YouTuber’s piece dedicated to recontextualizing the Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring films in Fallout 4 was impressive, with more than 1,515,866 views and counting, his upload featuring a showdown between every single legendary enemy in Fallout 4 is arguably his most popular work to date.

Of course, Cosmic Contrarian isn’t done yet. Toward the end of the Red Ghouls versus Commonwealth video, the YouTuber proclaimed that he’s working on a new battle involving Automatron Robots. With that being the case, we will more than likely see him conjure up even more enormous clashes in the future, especially with Fallout 4 releasing fresh materials with its Far Harbor DLC coming out this May.
