One mischievous Fallout 4 fan prank calls people while using the voice of the game's Preston Garvey, with the results being equally confusing and hilarious.

After doing our best to take care of each and every one of the settlements in the world that needs our help, we all deserve a laugh today. Thankfully, the YouTuber ICEnJAM has put together a fun Fallout 4 video featuring Preston Garvey prank calling several different social service representatives to ask for their assistance with the curbing of Ghouls, Raiders, and any of the other nefarious scourges found within the Boston Commonwealth of Bethesda's post-apocalyptic RPG.

Using a soundboard of the Fallout 4 character's voice, ICEnJAM is able to seamlessly string together a convincing set of sentences in order to keep people on the other end of the line under the impression that they're actually talking to a real person. Of course, it helps that Jon Gentry — the voice actor for Preston Garvey — gave a smooth and natural-sounding performance when recording dialogue for the senior officer of the Commonwealth Minutemen.

As seen and heard in the video below, ICEnJAM not only provides the comical conversations that occurred between the unwitting participants and Garvey, but also expertly edits in several well-placed sight gags that work within the context of the prank calls. To top it all off, when things are often at their most baffling, the Fallout 4 companion occasionally takes it upon himself to try and play the romance card in a bid to win over the social workers.

Should Fallout 4 fans find ICEnJAM's Preston Garvey clip funny and want more, then they're in luck. As it happens, the YouTuber has a plethora of practical jokes featuring various video game characters, with one even using Fallout 4's Vault-Tec Representative in a prank call. The rest are all over the place, ranging from Hitman's Agent 47 phoning a hotel lobby to ask the clerk to retrieve his missing briefcase to The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim's Mogrul calling random folks to collect the debt of 1000 Septims. For a full rundown of all the shenanigans that ICEnJAM has gotten up to — and trust us, there are a lot — fans can head on over to the YouTuber's channel.

Of course, some Fallout 4 fans have been just as, if not more frustrated with Preston Garvey's pleas for help than the people in the prank call above. However, one player fortunately created a mod stopping the NPC's settlement requests once and for all. At any rate, even though the Minuteman's constant petitioning for aid became annoying after a while, at least his role in the game went on to spawn one of the greatest memes in quite some time.
