From creating a mod that adds mutant superpowers to an aesthetic overhaul that turns the game into the horror film The Witch, modders have had a field day when it comes to creating new content for Fallout 4. Upon learning about Bethesda's recently-announced "Creation Club" at E3 2017, a fan became inspired to create his own "Creation Club" but it is perhaps not the club that players might initially expect.

In an hilarious play on the Creation Club name, modder CDante's Fallout 4 "Creation Club" is a golf club that literally creates random items out of thin air with every swing. While the item is technically a melee weapon, its low stats mean it is less useful as an offensive more and more handy (and entertaining) as way to cause random chaos.

With luck playing a bigger part beyond its role in the game's S.P.E.C.I.A.L statistics system, this Creation Club can sometimes yield harmless items, such as a carton of cigarettes of a toaster, while other times can result in a Legendary Synth Eradicator spawning.

Given how fans have been skeptical about Bethesda's Creation Club ever since it was announced, this "Creation Club" mod can be seen as a satirical jab at the studio's attempt at yet another mod program. For those who are unaware, Bethesda's Creation Club is an upcoming mod program in which modders work with the studio itself in creating new content for Fallout 4 and Skyrim. However, CDante insists that this isn't the case, writing on the mod's description page that it was never their intention to offend anyone or Bethesda, hence why there is no reference to the actual upcoming mod program or the studio anywhere before stating that the "Creation Club" mod was nothing more than a simple joke.

While this "Creation Club" mod is (sadly) an unofficial addition to Fallout 4, there is an official release pertaining to the post-apocalyptic RPG that's set to be released soon. After months of teasing, Bethesda have finally revealed its long-awaited Fallout 4 VR project and have stated that the game is set for launch at some point in 2017 for the HTV Vive.

With Bethesda's Creation Club due to launch this Summer, it remains to be seen how this program will work and how it will be received by fans. Pound for pound though, it's hard to imagine how Bethesda's Creation Club will provide more entertainment than CDante's simple yet hilarious golf club mod.

Fallout 4 is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
