The latest mod for Bethesda's extremely popular Fallout 4 turns the main character's child into a mini nuke that can infinitely be launched from a Fat Man.
What's the one thing missing from Fallout 4? The answer to that question for modder Trainwiz was apparently "babies that cause nuclear explosions" if their latest mod for Fallout 4 is any indication.
Trainwiz's Atom Bomb Baby mod replaces the mini nukes that are usually used as ammunition for the popular Fat Man weapon in the game with an infinite supply of babies. The babies are shot out of a Fat Man and cause mini nuclear explosions on impact, mushroom cloud and all.
If that wasn't twisted enough, the babies being used as ammunition are apparently the protagonist's child. That's right, the baby that is made to look like the players' character and their spouse is turned into a weapon of mass destruction with this mod.
As ridiculous as it is, there's something devilishly hilarious (to some people) about watching atom bomb babies explode to the tune of "Atom Bomb Baby" by The Five Stars. See the Atom Bomb Baby mod in action in the short video below:
So far, the mod support for Fallout 4 has been impressive, which was to be expected based on the mods that have been released for past Bethesda open world games. This Atom Bomb Baby mod is one of the more creative ones, with other mods improving the game's graphics or allowing players to craft their own ammunition in the game.
The nature of the Atom Bomb Baby mod, with the exploding babies, may prove a bit more controversial than those mods, but it won't be the first Fallout 4 mod to cause a stir. In fact, a recently created mod that added Major League Baseball star David Ortiz to Fallout 4 may actually cause the creator of the mod to be sued by the MLB. While we won't see any legal action over the Atom Bomb Baby mod for Fallout 4, it still may offend some people.
In any case, it will be interesting to see if the Atom Bomb Baby mod or any of the other mods for the game make it to consoles. We know that at least some Fallout 4 PC mods are coming to consoles, but we're not entirely sure which mods will be chosen, let alone when this feature will even be implemented. Hopefully console gamers will be able to download a variety of mods, ranging from the more useful ones to the goofier ones, such as the Atom Bomb Baby mod.
Fallout 4 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Atom Bomb Baby mod is currently only available for the PC version of the game.
