One Fallout 4 fan pits some of the post-apocalyptic RPG’s most dangerous enemies against one another in a deathmatch, featuring Far Harbor’s legendary creatures.
Never one to rest on his laurels, now that Fallout 4‘s Far Harbor DLC is out, the YouTuber Cosmic Contrarian has decided to incorporate some of the aquatically themed expansion’s legendary enemies into his latest video for the open world title, by holding a giant deathmatch with all of the game’s toughest non-playable characters (NPCs) thus far to battle one another for supremacy. With the latest add-on for Fallout 4 featuring plenty of new monster and creature types, such as Anglers, Gulpers, Fog Crawlers, and Giant Hermit Crabs, the action ends up being engrossing to say the least.
Cosmic Contrarian’s clip for the all-out slug-fest between Fallout 4‘s NPCs begins with the YouTuber giving a short rundown for each of the characters as well as a general overview of their traits. The battle then begins shortly thereafter in an explosive fashion, with the Automatron DLC‘s robot enemies blowing up left and right. Of course, even though the mechanical baddies get taken out relatively early, their death throes dole out incendiary vengeance against the Deathclaws, Mirelurks, Super Mutants, and other enemies populating the space.
As seen in the video below, Cosmic Contrarian utilized a variety of mods to pull this deathmatch off, and to simply to give it some diversity, with one of the primary fan-made creations being MadMAX713’s Super Mutant Redux, which added Nightkin, Glowing Behemoths, Glowing Mutant Hounds, and more into the fight. Not to mention, in order to provide the battle footage with a sense of epic flair, he chose the group Parademics’ cover of the Pacific Rim film’s main theme for the soundtrack.
The Fallout 4 deathmatch above is run through several different times and produces various results, but it’s hard to say which enemy is the toughest. Naturally, the Fog Crawlers are nearly indomitable, the Super Mutants are undoubtedly mighty, and even the Brotherhood of Steel can hold its own thanks to their power armor and tactical skills.
While Cosmic Contrarian states that this is “most likely the final deathmatch video” that he will produce, the YouTuber explains the next two pieces he’s putting out are going to be a part of his battle series, and that they are “edited to perfection.” As it happens, the Fallout 4 aficionado has loads of experience on which to draw, for he’s previously staged absolutely massive battles like the one featuring 20,000 Demon Deathclaws attacking the Brotherhood of Steel. Bearing this in mind, his forthcoming videos ought to be absolutely magnificent.
What did you think of Cosmic Contrarian’s latest Fallout 4 deathmatch video? Although there was no clear victor during the bloody fray, which enemy do you believe to be the toughest in the game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
