Since the 2015 release of Fallout 4, progressively more players have experienced Bethesda Softworks' latest main installment in the series and explored the post-apocalyptic Boston Commonwealth. Fallout 4 is the first title in the series to feature building so many aspects of the game center on the new mechanic, and some players have noticed hilarious details about the Settlement aspect of the game.

Recently, a Reddit user posted a Fallout 4 clip in which they're practicing building and scrapping things in the game's Settlement building menu in an effort to place a bed. Their clip begins with the Fallout 4 player breaking down a kitchen table, two Chairs, coffee pot, and a rug before a Legendary Radroach comes around the corner of the house behind a shelving unit. This causes the Reddit user to take two steps backwards to avoid the pursuit of the Radroach before pausing to assess the situation as the massive bug rears up to attack.

Right as the Radroach jumps towards the Fallout 4 player to harm them, the creature is highlighted in the build menu, and it suggests that they scrap the Legendary Radroach for seven bones and five fertilizers. Having little other recourse at the moment, the Fallout 4 player chooses to scrap the Radroach, and suddenly the enemy is gone with no combat required. Although Fallout 4 scrap and building material are valuable, as well as the ability to make the Legendary Radroach disappear in such a convenient way, the Reddit user admitted that they considered not scrapping the powerful roach because of its mediocre materials.

Even though the Legendary Radroaches in Fallout 4 aren't much of a challenge with basic weaponry, it's uncommon for them to be defeated as quickly and easily as in this Reddit clip. While Legendary Fallout 4 enemies usually drop a piece of gear, the Reddit user was willing to forgo the weapon or armor in favor of the convenience of remaining in the build menu. The video ends before the Fallout 4 player has completed their customization of the Settlement creation, but the player may continue using this technique to clear out new locations after this discovery.

The Reddit user gives credit to a mod called Scrap Everything as one of the best Fallout 4 mods, and it's available for free to players on all platforms, unlike previous Fallout titles which had mods limited to PC. On consoles, Scrap Everything is known as "Scrap All of the Things," which may be named differently due to being created by a different modder than the PC counterpart. Because Fallout 76 is the most recent title, and it fittingly receives much more attention as it pertains to updates and new content, this hilarious Fallout 4 ability may remain for the foreseeable future.

Fallout 4 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
