From Horizon Zero Dawn to God of War, there are a lot of video games being adapted into TV shows at the moment. A series that some fans may not know about that is in the works is the Fallout TV show. Announced back in 2020 and being produced by the creators of sci-fi HBO hit Westworld, the Fallout series will be released on Amazon Prime Video and since it first unveiled, fans have slowly been getting more and more information about it.

Back in January, it was announced that the Fallout TV series would enter production this year, and now in mid-July fans are finally getting their first look at the show as it is being filmed. A set photo and video show off the design of a derelict Super Duper Mart, with a few ruined cars in its parking lot. The Super Duper Mart is a place many fans of Fallout will be familiar with it featuring in some capacity in Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76. The Super Duper Mart is one of the first places players can encounter in Fallout 3, and the appearance of it in the Amazon series will likely bring a few nostalgic memories to fans.

The design of the Super Duper Mart in the Fallout TV show seems to closely resemble the store that players will encounter in the third game, implying that some more content could be pulled from Fallout 3. However, considering some of the other things that fans already know about the upcoming series, it is unlikely that it will be a direct adaptation of Fallout 3. For example, it has been reported that Walter Goggins will be taking the lead role in the Fallout TV series, and that he will be playing a ghoul. Should that latter rumor turn out to be true, this would make a vast departure from anything fans have seen in previous Fallout titles.

Even if no story elements are pulled directly from the games, it appears as though the Fallout TV series will be as authentic as possible when it comes to recreating the iconic gaming franchise. Already, Fallout fans are praising the look of the show from the set photo, saying that are having to resist the urge to loot the Super Duper Mart for caps and supplies just from looking at it.

As well as showing a first look at a set for the Fallout TV show, some new cast members have been recently announced. Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones from Amazon's The Wheel of Time series, and Disjointed's Aaron Moten have recently been added to the list of cast members in the Fallout TV show. It is currently unknown what characters they will be portraying, but hopefully in time that information will be revealed.

Fallout is reportedly in production.
