Fallout 3 released back in 2008, but there are many features and secrets that players are still finding to this day. The newest discovery concerns what ammo players can use with Fallout 3's fun Rock-It Launcher weapon.

For those who don't know, the Rock-It Launcher is one of Fallout 3's more ridiculous weapons. It is classified as a Big Gun in the game and uses a repurposed engine to shoot any junk objects the player wants. This gives players use for all of the random loot they find throughout Fallout 3's wasteland like silverware, teddy bears, and empty cans. One of the Rock-It Launcher's greatest benefits is that the ammo can also be picked back up after being shot, making it a great fallback weapon for longer firefights.

The newest find was posted to the Fallout subreddit by Reddit user G5100. Their post says they just discovered that the hands looted from dead Dethclaws can be used as ammunition in the Rock-It Launcher. Deathclaws are one of the most dangerous and iconic enemies in the entire Fallout universe. They are very large and can easily kill low-level players who are not prepared to fight them with just a couple of attacks. So, using their dangerous claws as ammunition definitely seems promising.

For Fallout 3 players who want to try it out for themselves, they'll have to craft the gun after finding its schematic as it doesn't spawn anywhere in the game. Luckily, the gun is rather cheap to craft as it only requires one of each of its ingredients. Players will only have to find a vacuum cleaner, leaf blower, firehose nozzle, and conductor, which players should have plenty of by the time they come across the schematic for the weapon. Any players who have not checked the Rock-It Launcher out before should definitely consider doing so, as it is a very creative weapon and one of the most iconic weapons in Fallout 3.

It is always great to see fans find cool new details about the big games that they love. A game as massive as Fallout 3 has a lot for players to find throughout it, so it's no wonder that many players did not find this hidden detail very easily. It will be interesting to see what other wacky weapons and hidden details will show up in developer Bethesda's newest upcoming game Starfield. Maybe, it will even have a space-themed version of the Rock-It Launcher.

Fallout 3 is available now on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
