Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout took the gaming world by storm when it released in August 2020, quickly catching on with streamers and content creators, causing it to explode in popularity. The minigame-focused battle royale was praised for its simple but addictive gameplay and the appealing style of its iconic "bean-shaped" characters, with the game reportedly being a favorite of several celebrities like Brie Larson and Tom Holland. However, the lack of versions on Xbox and Switch have been a common complaint amongst fans of the game, an issue Mediatonic will soon be looking to fix.

Versions of Fall Guys coming to Xbox consoles and Switch have been long been a hot topic amongst fans with the nearly two-year-old game not yet seeing ports to major home consoles outside of the PS4. Mediatonic and Devolver Digital have previously confirmed that Switch and Xbox versions of Fall Guys were in development, but neither would confirm a potential release date for the ports. However, a massive reveal from Mediatonic has now confirmed that not only is Fall Guys coming to Switch and Xbox, but the game will also be going fully free-to-play.

A recent announcement from Mediatonic officially revealed the release dates for the PS5, Switch, Xbox, and Epic Games Store versions of Fall Guys, with each of them set to arrive on their respective platforms on June 21. The update also confirmed that Fall Guys will be going fully free-to-play following the release of the new versions, with previous owners on PS4 and Steam set to receive a Legacy Pack of unique cosmetics as well as the first of the game's reworked premium battle passes for free.

With Fall Guys resetting its seasons on the launch of its new "Season 1 - Free for All," Fall Guys will welcome the launch of the game's new versions with full cross-play and cross progression for players across all of its platforms. The game's new Season Pass will reportedly be available for purchase by players not receiving it through the Legacy Pack with a newly-introduced premium currency called Show-Bucks. The new season will also debut new cosmetics and levels when it launches this summer.

Fall Guys finally arriving to more consoles comes as the game has stood as one of the most iconic titles of recent years. Fall Guys has seen worldwide recognition from both within the gaming community and beyond, receiving an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records last year and a Monopoly board game in January. The game has also become famous for its plethora of crossovers with popular game, movie, and comic book franchises. Multiple new versions and the game's transition to a free-to-play should look to cement Fall Guys' legendary status even further.

Fall Guys is available now for PC and PS4, with Epic Games Store, PS5, Switch, and Xbox versions scheduled to release on June 21.
