Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has taken the gaming world by storm, and became the most downloaded game on PlayStation Plus. With millions active in the battle royale game there are bound to be a few who cheat to win, but the devs at Mediatonic are putting plans in place to end cheating in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.

Fall Guys has been available for over a month, and it didn't take long for players to report cheaters using hacks that help them to run faster or jump higher. It has been considered one of the most frustrating aspects of the party game for many, and some users have even chosen to throw their own games in order to stop Fall Guys hackers.

The devs behind Fall Guys have been promising a fix for the cheating problem for a while now. Today, a long-awaited update has been given by the game's social media account, which said "we're expanding the current detection system this week to improve things,"

and there is another big update coming the next few weeks to add the same anti-cheat system used by games such as Fortnite.

Fortnite is another hugely popular battle royale game that suffers from cheaters and hackers. The game has cracked down to eliminate these players, and currently uses software such as Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye while issuing bans against individual players. The use of the dual anti-cheat systems has helped Fortnite decrease the amount of hackers, and if Fall Guys is planning to use these methods as well it is a promising sign that the cheating problem will be curbed.

Fall Guys has also been in the process of launching patches that have even the numbers on team games, fix PS4 controller settings, and update the geometry of certain level designs. However, there are still a few features that players are calling, for such as an updated tail-grab mechanic and better tracking of a player's personal statistics. The team at Fall Guys could also consider introducing a reporting function so that players are able to point out any hackers the detection software misses.

The larger anti-cheat update is said to be rolling out in the next couple of weeks, so it will hopefully be implemented in time for the start of Fall Guys Season 2. The new season is expected to start in early October, bringing new mini-games, costumes, and a medieval theme to the game. Players are also hoping the game will be available on platforms such as Nintendo Switch and Xbox, which is something that the Fall Guys team are considering introducing in the future.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available now on PC and PS4.
