Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has quickly become one of the most popular games on the market thanks to its addictive party game style. The game is fast approaching the release of Fall Guys season 2, but before that, there are a number of updates the devs at Mediatonic want to implement.

Due to its unexpected success as one of the top games on PS4 and Steam, the team behind Fall Guys have been rushing to keep up with requested features from players. One of the biggest problems affecting Fall Guys is its cheating problem, which is starting to be addressed with the studio's use of new anti-cheat software and even a new 'cheater's island' approach. While this has been high priority for the devs, there has also been a focus on bringing new content to the game to keep players engaged.

According to the game's Twitter account, the next Fall Guys update is focused on targeting the cheating problem but will also bring some updated level designs to the game to increase the difficulty. The teaser screenshots show some additional changes to two Fall Guys rounds. Dizzy Heights looks to be swapping its final rolling ball obstacle for watermelons and Hit Parade has replaced its propeller section with moving beams, similar to those seen in Whirlygig. Both levels also look to be getting swinging pendulum obstacles which will definitely up the challenge factor. Hit Parade and Dizzy Heights are the only levels shown in the images but its likely some of the other Fall Guys levels could be getting updates as well.

Now that Fall Guys has been available for a while, many players are breezing through certain rounds. So it looks like the Fall Guys devs are choosing to spice things up without radically changing level design. It's also been teased that Fall Guys will be getting a 'Big Yeetus' update, which is the addition of a randomly appearing giant hammer that can either help or hinder players during rounds. While seemingly simple, these updates will be the first big changes to level design since Fall Guys launched and will likely keep things interesting while players wait for season 2.

The screenshots look to be an additional part of the Big Yeetus update which will also bring in the new anti-cheat software that Fall Guys has been promising, which is sure to be a relief for many frustrated players. The update will also hopefully bring other requested features such as more accessibility options for keyboard and controller bindings as well as auto-spectating in party mode. It's unknown when exactly the update will drop but it seems it might be as soon as this week.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available now on PC and PS4.
