Fall Guys fans have something to look forward to as the most recent update fixes some of the game's most problematic aspects. For PC players, this no doubt means the cheaters, but for players on both consoles there are also some changes to spice things up a bit. This includes level variations and the fabled Big Yeetus.

Fall Guys has taken the world by storm since its release, as its fun and care-free atmosphere seems to be exactly what the world needs right now. At the same time, though, it requires a lot of skill and even more luck to be able to win a crown, and these new variations are sure to stir the pot.

Aside from the major changes, Fall Guys version 1.07 also fixes some bugs and makes optimization adjustments. For example, spectator mode will now prioritize members of the player's party over random players, and other changes should simply make the game run smoother for most players.

PC players should have a much better experience after this update, as Mediatonic is implementing Epic Games' Easy Anti-Cheat system, the selfsame one used to protect Fortnite from cheaters. As is always the case, there are bound to be some cheaters that find a way around this, but it should make it significantly more difficult to implement cheats in the game. Hardcore cheaters may still be present, but throngs of casual cheaters won't be bothered to find a way through. This simple deterrent could go a long way in combating cheating in Fall Guys.

All players will also now enjoy level variance. Certain obstacles in some of the race courses have been added, changed, removed, or otherwise switched around. The Whirligig level has a chance to invert itself now, and Slime Climb sometimes adds new obstacles towards the end. In addition to these obstacles, levels will sometimes generate with a new obstacle, Big Yeetus. This giant hammer is very aggressive and packs a massive punch, and could be a detriment or a boon depending on how players use it. The trailer above shows both scenarios rather well, and Big Yeetus will spawn in a variety of levels at random.

This mid-season update comes to Fall Guys ahead of Season 2 which is theoretically scheduled to release on October 6th. That update will bring medieval themed maps to Fall Guys along with similarly themed skins and costumes. Though it is still a ways away, hopefully this update helps to hold fans over.

Fall Guys is available now on PC and PS4.
