Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is taking the gaming world by storm. Although Sony has not released any sales data on the popular PlayStation Indie yet, reports of congestion on Fall Guys' servers due to popular demand speak for themselves. However, developer Mediatonic and publisher Devolver Digital have released the PC sales figures, and they reveal the depth of the party game-like battle royale's success.

According to a press release from the two companies, Fall Guys has amassed a player base of over 2 million people in the six days since its debut. Before this announcement, Fall Guys was already Devolver Digital's biggest Steam launch ever. However, the press release now says that it is also Mediatonic's most successful title as well.

The release then directed readers' attention to a Devolver Digital tweet, which commemorated the occasion with some fun figures pulled from the game's data. According to the publisher, Fall Guys players have grabbed 1.5 million crowns. During the fights to be the last Fall Guy standing, 60 million characters have fallen. Devolver Digital also celebrated the game's runaway popularity on Twitch, where it has amassed 23 million hours of watch time. Finally, the press release ended with glowing quotes from video game critics, and a comment from Mediatonic's Chief Games Officer and co-founder, Paul Croft, who thanked Fall Guys' players for the battle royale's success so far. Croft called the developers' reaction to the game's first week "overwhelming and humbling."

Fall Guys' community came out in droves to congratulate the developer and publisher. While many players mentioned how happy they were to see an indie game flourish, others pointed out that the Steam sales milestone was only a small sign of Fall Guys' massive popularity, since Sony has not revealed how large the PS4 player base is.

In response, many fans attempted to speculate about the battle royale's success. One player estimated that the 2 million Steam copies alone could have earned Mediatonic and Devolver Digital $31,980,000, while others guessed that there were still 4 to 5 million players on the PlayStation 4 that were still unaccounted for.

Ultimately, Fall Guys has successfully lived up to legendary games like Fortnite by offering a unique, party-style take on the classic battle royale formula. Hopefully, Mediatonic is able to finish Fall Guys' first season on a high note and continue the game's momentum, which is going as fast as a boulder rumbling down the hill towards a player's bean character.
