The servers for Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, the brand new goofy last-man-standing title developed by Mediatonic, is still suffering from ongoing server issues. While the Fall Guys servers are being overloaded by players happy to try the new game out, the game simply cannot handle it yet.

Fans are in an uproar about not being able to play. In fact, Fall Guys has been review bombed by those who are unable to log in and play. It is certainly unfortunate to not be able to play a title that one was excited to enjoy, but perhaps reviewing a game poorly without yet being able to play it is a bit harsh. Regardless, fans are eagerly anticipating an update from the devs on when they can play.

The official Fall Guys Twitter page has been communicating with fans all throughout the day thanks to the ongoing struggles. A few hours ago the page tweeted out that the developer has been trying to scale everything to the number of players that are trying to jump on board, but those numbers keep going up, so the servers can't keep up.

After asking for two hours to work on the servers before the next communication update, the fans just kept trying to log on and play. The Twitter page for Fall Guys then did tweet again about an update, making light of the fact that more players have tried to log on regardless of the warnings by the developers that it isn't quite working yet. While the game itself is light-hearted and funny, as the community does crazy things like play Fall Guys with jelly beans, the same community isn't totally thrilled about the official Twitter page joking about what they see as a serious situation.

With success comes criticism, and the crowd of unhappy fans has a reason to be upset. Server issues are certainly a bummer, and hackers have already appeared in Fall Guys, hinting that Mediatonic could be in over its head. Although the game isn't to be taken seriously by any means, technical issues and cheaters are no joke.

Some slack should certainly be given to Mediatonic, however, as game development is not easy. Fans should be patient and wait for the servers to settle, because there is a super fun game hiding behind these server hiccups. Eventually, Fall Guys could have the same type of success as Rocket League, but the community has to be able to actually play first before that happens.
