While it is seemingly not as popular to stream as it was at launch, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is still popular with many and going strong with updates. New cosmetics like an Untitled Goose Game crossover are still being made, as are new stages for next season.

There was a lot to look forward to with Fall Guys' second season, but perhaps not as much as players wanted. While a few new stages were added, they were still dwarfed by the original stages, many of which players had become accustomed to. While new costumes are great, they don't constitute the main reason most players pick up the game. As such, the onus is on Season 3 to pick up steam once more, and according to the devs they're working on just that.

The developers at Mediatonic have plans to make Season 3 bigger than Season 2 when it comes to levels. This effort is helped by a big influx of developers thanks to hiring efforts, and work is already under way. As of this writing, there is still no word on when Season 3 will launch, what its theme will be, or even if it has one in the first place. However, the devs have provided a very small sneak peek at what's being worked on in Season 3's levels.

It's difficult to make out exactly what's going on in the picture, but a few things stand out. The pink color scheme is to be expected, as pink and purple are often Fall Guys' default colors. There's a curving object that appears to be part of a wheel approaching some sort of a cube. Fall Guys developers are confident there will be many new levels in Season 3, and a mechanic involving wheels or vehicles could certainly facilitate the creation of several levels.

Whether or not new levels will grow the playerbase of the game at this point is up for debate. It's hard to deny that Among Us replaced Fall Guys as the streaming and party game of choice for many, and the Fall Guys community has seemingly not been as active online since.

However, that doesn't mean there aren't still many who love the game. There are more reasons to love it too, with things like hard mode being added to Fall Guys for players who want more of a challenge. Independent tournaments have been organized in the past, and as the game grows more, there's a good chance its community will flourish too.

Fall Guys is available for PC and PS4.
