Mediatonic and Devolver Digital's hit obstacle course battle royale Fall Guys exploded in popularity upon its release last August. Since then, the game has been releasing constant updates with new levels, costumes, and seasons as well, with Season 2 taking on a medieval theme and the current season bringing players a winter wonderland.

While Fall Guys tends to release a plethora of more frequent, smaller updates, with larger updates being more spread out, today's mid-season update changes that. After yesterday's announcement of the new mid-season update, aptly named Season 3.5 by the community, the update has come to the game today and brought quite a bit along with it.

Aside from a large host of bug fixes, Fall Guys Season 3.5 also brings players the brand new Snowball Survival Round, 40 new variations for existing Rounds, new costumes and Shows that are to go live in the coming weeks, as well as the return of the Godzilla, Goose Game, and Sonic the Hedgehog costumes now available in the regular in-game store.

Along with the launch of Fall Guys Season 3.5, the game's official Twitter account announced a giveaway on the social media platform giving fans the chance to win 1 of 25 Dark Knight costumes. The Snowball Survival Round seems to take inspiration from the game's classic Hex-A-Gone Round. The new Round sees players placed in a bowl-shaped arena, while they must try not to break the ice and fall out of the bowl while simultaneously avoiding being knocked around by giant snowballs.

Fall Guys became one of 2020's surprise hit games, releasing exclusively on Steam and PS4. Although many rumors of the game coming to Xbox Game Pass have been floating around as of late, it seems that there are no plans to bring the game to other systems at the moment. But for now, PC and PS4 owners can hop into Fall Guys Season 3.5 to enjoy the new mid-season updates.

Fall Guys is available now on PC and PS4.
