Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been riding waves of success throughout the game's first two seasons, and now the battle royale is just about ready to kick off its newest season. On Twitter, after asking some Twitter users for help, the Fall Guys community team officially revealed that Season 3 will be Winter themed.

Earlier today, the Fall Guys Twitter account put out a call for Twitter users to volunteer for a giant puzzle. The 300 pieces for the puzzle were distributed among users and after 12 hours, the puzzle had been completed to reveal the first image of Fall Guys' third season. This reveal comes three days after the Fall Guys Twitter account gave fans the first tease of a Season 3 level. In the newly completed image, the Fall Guys characters are sporting several different Winter appropriate outfits such as a snowman and penguin. No mention of a start date for Season 3 was included in the tweet.

While Fall Guys Season 2 was generally liked by most of the player base, there was some push back due to the lack of new levels introduced in the season. With that in mind, community managers from the Fall Guys team assured players that Season 3 of Fall Guys would be bigger and better than ever. Community Manager Oliver noted that "Season 3 will have more levels than Season 2" and that the team has "huge plans for the game moving forward."

Season 2 of Fall Guys, and its Medieval theme, brought a few new changes to how Fall Guys could be played. Different "shows" were added to the game which consisted of playlists of levels that followed a certain theme or met specific criteria. Recently, Mediatonic added a limited-time mode called Hard Mode to Fall Guys that consisted of the game's hardest levels to give players a fresh challenge while chasing crowns.

As Mediatonic ramps up for Fall Guys' third season, it will be interesting to see if it keeps collaborating with other video game properties for outfits in Fall Guys. Recently, an outfit was added to Fall Guys that was the Goose from Untitled Goose Game and before that, bizarrely enough, a Godzilla outfit was available to players.

2020 is quickly coming to a close, which means the video game industry is getting into award season to celebrate all kinds of different games. Earlier this week, GamesRadar held its annual Golden Joysticks awards and Fall Guys won the award for best multiplayer game. Along with the award, Joe Walsh, the Lead Game Designer of Fall Guys, was slimed during the award ceremony to cap off the game's win.

Fall Guys is available for PC and PS4.
