In celebration of the Lunar New Year, developer Mediatonic and the crew at Fall Guys are giving fans the gift of the Monkey King.
Fall Guys is joining in on the Lunar New Year celebration. Following the lead of Minecraft, Pokemon GO, and Genshin Impact, the game will see new two new holiday skins added this week.
The good news dropped just in time to ring in the Year of the Ox. The main attraction of the Fall Guys update comes in the form of a free Monkey King themed skin. Fans will also notice the mythical Monkey King's friend Simian Royalty for purchase in the game's marketplace.
News of the gift came from the official Fall Guys Twitter account. According to the tweet, gamers can pick up the Monkey King skin by simply logging in and playing before Feb. 13. The second skin comes in at a price of five crowns for the top, and five for the bottom. Crowns are an in game currency that can only be earned through gameplay. Those wishing to pick up the new skin and receive the gift will have to own and play Fall Guys before the deadline. The Monkey King is a welcome splash of red and gold coloring to this season's wintery setting. This update comes just days after mid-season patch 3.5.
The Lunar New Year is an important holiday to millions of gamers, many of which will find this year's celebrations increasingly virtual. Mediatonic is wise to join in on the celebration with this mythical addition to what is becoming a large catalog of colorful skins.
