Mediatonic's Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been a huge success story. It hosted a number of largely-enjoyed beta tests, and partnered with Sony to become one of the free PlayStation Plus titles offered throughout August. As a result, Fall Guys became Devolver Digital's biggest Steam launch ever, and it was downloaded 1.5 million times on PS4 in its first day, resulting in some of those players coming up with custom costume designs.

For those who are unaware, Fall Guys is a battle royale mixed with obstacle course game shows like Wipeout or MXC, and players unlock outfits for their bean-shaped characters. Anyone who pre-ordered Fall Guys on Steam got a Half-Life outfit, and comic artist Lucho Diaz decided to test another collaboration by designing a Crash Bandicoot suit based on the series' advertisement campaign in the 90s.

The official Fall Guys Twitter account responded to the post saying it would, "Swap 1,000 crowns for this bad boy," and praised Diaz for his talented drawing. It would be the perfect time for Mediatonic to strike a deal with this classic franchise, as the upcoming Crash Bandicoot 4 was highlighted at Sony's State of Play livestream this week.

Though it has been great seeing Fall Guys succeed given its fun premise and unique take on the battle royale genre, this attention does have its drawbacks. Fall Guys has experienced plenty of server issues due to a huge influx of players, though Mediatonic is working to improve the situation.
