Fall Guys, the non-violent battle royale game that plays like a video game version of Takeshi's Castle, is already laying out some of the new features players can expect from the game. A recent interview confirmed that one of these upcoming features for this surprise hit is crossplay with other platforms.

Released earlier this month, the Devolver Digital published Fall Guys pits up to 60 players in a series of mini-games in order to become the victor. Some mini-games have players clearing obstacle courses, while others may put players into teams to collect points. It's only out on the PlayStation 4 and Steam, but it already has a strong player base itching to learn about where the game is going next.

In yesterday's edition of the MinnMaxShow, former Game Informer employee Ben Hanson speaks with Fall Guys senior designer Joe Walsh about Mediatonic's history and the success of their game. There are plenty of great details in this interview, such as talking about potential brand collaborations and what's coming down the pipe. At 21:45, the topic of crossplay is brought up, and Joe Walsh says it's "a big thing" the team is "definitely looking into" adding. "Fall Guys is about bringing people together to play wholesome games. It makes sense that crossplay is a part of that," he adds.

Currently, Fall Guys is only available for the PlayStation 4 and PC, and the lack of crossplay means that the players on different platforms can't play together. In addition, players will have to make two separate accounts with their own separate progression for each platform. While crossplay will be a big feature for Fall Guys, there's currently no release window for it so far. Mediatonic has been focused on handling the overwhelming amount of players that are playing Fall Guys, and it's no secret that the servers have been facing very heavy loads.

Even in the short time Fall Guys has been out, there have already been several updates. Some of these updates have focused on rebalancing the chances of certain mini-games appearing, especially ones that are more or less popular. As for other potential features, Joe Walsh tossed around some ideas for limited time playlists as well as news modes for Season Two.

Fall Guys is currently available on PC via Steam and PlayStation 4, with more platforms on the way.
