Since the launch of Fall Guys last week on Steam and PS4, players have speculated what in-game collaborations the battle royale could see. Players who pre-ordered the game on Steam were treated to an exclusive Half-Life outfit, complete with a headcrab, leaving the Fall Guys community hopeful that more Valve related costumes were coming. It seems this hope is becoming a reality as the Fall Guys Twitter account tweeted the next skin coming to the game is from the classic first-person shooter, Team Fortress.
With the surging popularity of Fall Guys over the past week, multiple brands have reached out via Twitter about joining forces with the obstacle course battle royale. Whether these are serious inquiries or merely just cashing in on the popularity is hard to tell, however, that hasn't stopped players from sharing concepts like a Chuck E. Cheese inspired skin on social media.
While outfits making players look like their favorite pizza dealing rat or Metal Gear Solid's Solid Snake still live in the world of what-ifs, the official Fall Guys Twitter made another crossover a reality. Starting later today, players on the Steam version of Fall Guys can purchase The Scout outfit using crowns on the in-game store. This outfit will allow players to don the trappings of the speedy Scout from Valve's Team Fortress franchise.
While the tweet did not state how much the parts of The Scout outfit will cost in the store, many are speculating that it will cost 5 crowns for each part, for a total of 10 crowns. This would be consistent with the previous video game costumes made available on the in-game store like Alyx from the Half-Life series, as well as Jacket from Hotline Miami.
The confirmation of The Scout skin coming to Fall Guys certainly seems to lend credence to a recent datamine that uncovered other upcoming video game collaborations. Other skins found in this data include other Valve games, like Peabody and Chell from the Portal series, as well as references to Enter the Gungeon, My Friend Pedro, and The Messenger.
While this news will be exciting for Steam players, it is a little disappointing there haven't been any PS4 exclusive outfits announced yet. It would be hilarious to see characters dressed in a Nathan Drake or Kratos skin as they climb Fall Mountain to grab the crown. Even a Sackboy outfit would be adorable to see in-game, and perhaps a Fall Guy could even make an appearance in Sackboy: A Big Adventure to make things even. It looks like PS4 players will just have to wait and see if an exciting crossover like that will come there way sometime soon.
