To Your Eternity is a highly emotional anime about an immortal being, initially taking on the form of a simple white orb with the ability to change its form to match that of something which has stimulated it. The series follows the entity, which eventually comes to be known as Fushi, through its journey as it accumulates experiences and develops as a sentient being. The immortal takes on various forms throughout its journey, and comes to grow and change as a "person". To Your Eternity explores the character Fushi's existence and experience of various forms of life and ways of being. The events of the series occur over a period of several years, and Fushi comes to meet many unique and interesting characters on his journey.

The first season of To Your Eternity aired between April and August 2021, running for 20 episodes. It was well-received for its interesting story, lovable characters and interesting setting. The first series ended with a time-skip, as well as a teaser for the upcoming second season, which came to be confirmed in April with a trailer that introduced some of the staff who'd be working on the project, as well as confirmation that the title would no longer be under the production of Brains Base as a result of a change in directors. Crunchyroll confirmed that it would be hosting the series on its platform like it did the first, with an announcement on the official Twitter account in July. The first season of To Your Eternity was simulcast on Crunchyroll, with an English dub being provided by the platform in May 2021.

All Grown Up

Grown Fushi – To Your Eternity Episode 20

Due to it being over a year since the last episode of To Your Eternity aired, some important details from the end of the previous season are probably hazy in the minds of fans, particularly those who don't read the manga. However, one of the last things the first season did was to set up for the upcoming second season with a time-skip and a quick reveal of Fushi, clearly aged up from the events of the season which had just ended. This aspect is quite an exciting prospect for the series as it presents various questions regarding Fushi; his development and change over the course of time as a character, as well as what kinds of adventures await with a new set of characters who will hopefully be as colorful and interesting as those in the series' first season.

To Your Eternity season 2 will be simulcast on Crunchyroll, and it will begin airing on October 23 at 19:00 Japan Standard Time (JST).
