The chance to play as a member of the strongest guild in Fiore is an exciting prospect, so the upcoming Koei Tecmo Fairy Tail RPG has a lot to offer fans of the anime and manga. Unfortunately, the title has seen a series of delays. To make the wait more bearable, the publisher has released a new trailer packed with nearly 25 minutes of uncut English gameplay.

The Fairy Tail Crocus & Grand Magic Games trailer follows Natsu and the gang as they enter Crocus, the location of the Grand Magic Games. As the footage is uncut, it is rather dialogue-heavy, but part of the series' charm is the exchanges between its quirky characters. Note that the spoken dialogue is all in Japanese, which will be a major catch with the Fairy Tail game for fans who are more familiar with the English dub.

The Fairy Tail trailer also has a bit of action sprinkled here and there, so those curious how fighting works will see that too. The gameplay ends right as the teams for the Grand Magic Games are announced, which means the actual festivities will have to wait until players can finally get their hands on the game.

The most recent delay of Fairy Tail has pushed the title to the end of July, but it was originally planned for March. The first delay saw it moved to June, but the impact of COVID-19 forced yet another setback. The wait should be worth it though, as the game includes something special for even longtime fans of the series. It isn't simply a retelling of events, as the Fairy Tail game has new content that didn't appear in the manga.

Fairy Tail releases July 31 on PC, PS4, and Switch.
