The last few years have been turbulent, to say the least, for Ezra Miller, the star of the upcoming The Flash big screen solo outing. Miller has been the subject of multiple news stories regarding their mental state and various alleged assaults, burglaries, and accusations of grooming, and now he seems to be weighing his options with Warner Bros.

The Flash star recently released a statement regarding their actions and is seeking psychological treatment for complex mental health issues. Now, on the back of all these stories and the constant stream of shakeups and announcements from Warner Bros. Discovery, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor was seen meeting with Warner executives Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy to attempt a course correct for the embattled feature.

Warner Bros. Discovery hasn't exactly been making a good impression over the last few months as CEO David Zsaslav continues to make huge changes to the structure of the company and its streaming services. The last month alone has seen the cancelation of the almost complete Batgirl feature film and the erasure of dozens of animated shows from the HBO Max library. Add that to the continuing controversy surrounding Miller and their behavior, and it hasn't been a walk in the park for the new CEO. This Wednesday saw a screening of the unfinished Batgirl film at the Burbank lot and while this was happening, Miller and their agent Scott Metzger were seen meeting with De Luca and Abdy regarding the future of The Flash and to discuss the actors' behavior and health following the last few years.

Ezra Miller as the Flash in Justice League

This marks the first time Miller has met with either executive since they took their positions in July. According to THR sources, Miller cares deeply about the adaptation of The Flash and chose to seek help after it looked like the studio was exploring options for the film, including scrapping it altogether. Details of the meeting have not been revealed and neither Warner nor Miller's representatives have commented on the outcome.

All of this comes just days after the studio announced it will once again be shuffling its DC film schedule by pushing Aquaman 2 to Christmas 2023 from its previous spot in March 2023, while the studio also moved Shazam! Fury of the Gods to a 2023 release instead of the previous 2022 date. It also comes as the studio may have found its own Kevin Feige to head the DC division in producer David Lin.

The Flash is helmed by IT director Andy Muschietti and is currently still slated for release in June 2023. The news of the meeting comes ahead of a busy period of post-production for the feature as visual effects work continues and composer Benjamin Wallfisch prepares to begin scoring the feature at Abbey Road Studios next week.

The Flash is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 23, 2023.
