Call of Duty: Warzone has instantly become one of the top battle royales on the market since its launch last month. The free to play shooter is a unique experience that draws from many tropes of the genre, like the standard looting and being the last man standing, while also standing out by implementing its own distinctive game features like the Gulag. All of this allows the game to stand out when compared to Apex or Fortnite.

For all of Call of Duty: Warzone's unique traits, however, one of the games highly speculated and intriguing easter eggs may end up being a slight copycat case after all, but that doesn't necessarily take away from the excitement either. Evidence is mounting that the in-game bunkers will be filled with loot, a la Apex Legends' vaults. What will be exactly will be inside these bunkers is the mystery that is worth unfolding.

What Was Presumed, But is Likely Not To Be

Originally, the community found bunkers, computers, and telephones that seemed linked to one another, all of which were interactable. The player base thought they found an easter egg with the bunkers in Warzone, perhaps leading to some sort of story. While the story element may not exist, because the vault is much more likely to be filled with loot, the connection point is valid.

Players should not forget about all of these items that can be interacted with. When it comes to Apex Legends, a key needs to found to unlock the vault. For Warzone, it seems as that a password will be needed to open up the bunker. At some point, the phone and or computer may be used to find that password.

Picking up loot at a rapid pace is a part of the gameplay for Call of Duty: Warzone, so even the bunker will most likely be a get in and get out scenario. The possibilities for loot within the bunkers are seemingly endless:

What Kind of Loot Could be Inside of the Bunkers

The bunkers could be filled with epic weapons and epic items. When roaming through the massive map in Warzone, players can find epic caches that will have high-end weapons and items, and it's likely the bunker could be stuffed with these items in a small area for the team to stock up on. When it comes to the weapons, however, if the team has already used their controversial loadout drop, this would be less helpful.

Speaking of loadout drops, at the moment, the only way to get them in-game is by purchasing a loadout drop marker at the buy station or by getting lucky and having one magically drop from the sky near a team's location. The bunker could have loadout drops inside of them, so that teams could jump back into the battle with the best loadouts for Warzone.

Killstreaks can be the difference between winning and losing a battle or even an entire game of Warzone, and at the moment, killstreaks can be found in a myriad of ways in Warzone. The bunker may be filled with one killstreak for each team member, a UAV, Cluster Strike, and Precision Air Strike. Perhaps this could also be the time to add a new killstreak to the game as well.

Another idea would be Perks, as they are currently only available within loadout drops. Having them be a pick up inside of the vault would be an interesting change of pace.

Self revives and Gas Masks are also items that would be extremely helpful to pick up in a hurry within the bunker, as they can be game-savers in a pinch, the former being something that can never be currently found as a floor or cache item in the battle royale mode. Any item that can be purchased at a buy station would be a welcome addition to the bunker.

Money is huge within Warzone. It is used to buy more armor plates, buyback teammates, purchase killstreaks and more at the buy stations. If the coveted bunkers were filled with oodles of cash, not many would complain, though that many not be the best use if it is indeed a loot vault.

A recent dataminer seems to have found out that the bunker is filled with 120% of loot, as opposed to the standard 0%-100% that the rest of the map has. It's possible that the bunker doesn't have any bonus "fun" items and instead just has a dozen caches with tons of items for players to loot as quickly as possible.

Season 3 of Modern Warfare is quickly approaching. Although Call of Duty: Warzone isn't directly tied to it, the game shares the same DNA, battle pass, and more. The developers could have a lot of ideas in mind when it comes to new content for both Modern Warfare and Warzone at the same time.

There is a chance that the bunkers are filled with the same loot that can be found within the game at any point, but with the game being updated rapidly, and with the aforementioned Season 3 right around the corner, fans can also hope that the devs behind Warzone bring something brand new to the table inside of the bunkers.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
