Streamer ExoHydraX accused Twitch of banning her for being "black and curvy" following her latest removal from the platform. The former competitive Call of Duty player who is nowadays best known for her hot tub streams had her account suspended on May 19, just a few days after Twitch reverted its ban of Mira.ExoHydraX started her streaming career on YouTube before expanding to Twitch and non-gaming entertainment formats in search of a larger viewership several years back. However, it didn't take long for her relationship with the Amazon-owned platform to become quite turbulent, which clearly remains true to this date. The streamer received several high-profile suspensions over the years, with Twitch previously even handing one permanent ban to ExoHydraX for "suggestive clothing" before ultimately going back on that decision.RELATED: BBC Cancels KSI's Show Following Racial Slur ControversyExoHydraX took to Twitter late last week to inform her followers that she received yet another permanent ban from Twitch. The official reasoning behind the penalty indicated that she broke the platform's community guidelines concerning suggestive content, according to her first-hand account of the event. ExoHydraX dismissed that explanation as having no basis in reality, positing that she followed the platform's guidelines to the T and that the broadcast that got her banned was in no way controversial. "I was not even doing a hot tub stream," she said in one of her recent videos posted on Twitter, adding that she spent her latest broadcast "fully dressed" and simply talking to chat without "turning once."

ExoHydraX consequently asserted that Twitch banned her due to the color of her skin and body type. In a subsequent tweet, the France-based content creator said "there's no point" in streaming on Twitch for people who are "black and curvy." A vocal portion of her followers agreed with that sentiment, urging ExoHydraX to move from Twitch to Kick, which is something that many popular streamers did in recent months. ExoHydraX had over 264,000 followers at the time of her permanent removal from Twitch.

The Amazon-owned platform is not in the habit of commenting on individual bans, so it's unlikely to chime in on this situation, irrespective of the streamer's discrimination allegations. Twitch already faced racism accusations for banning ExoHydraX over a hot tub stream back in 2021. And although that particular suspension was only in force for three days, many of ExoHydraX's fans took issue with the fact that white streamers such as Amouranth faced virtually no opposition from Twitch for consistently broadcasting equally suggestive content. For clarity, Twitch has banned Amouranth six times since 2019, but never for longer than three days at a time, according to StreamerBans.
