Thus far, Turtle Rock Studios has done a solid job of teasing their forthcoming game Evolve. Part Left 4 Dead and part Alien, the game sounds like an intriguing twist on multiplayer, one that we can't wait to see more of.

Luckily, we won't have to wait too long to see more of Evolve, as a new teaser…er...teases that more details are on the way. More specifically, the trailer reveals that players will learn a lot (or a little) more about Evolve on February 11, 2014.

Unfortunately, the teaser doesn't provide any clues as to what Turtle Rock might reveal. So far, the developer has introduced gamers to the four playable classes in Evolve, in addition to providing a general overview of the game. What we've seen and read certainly sounds unique, but we suspect there's more to the multiplayer package than Turtle Rock is letting on.

For example, while we've already seen the four playable classes for Evolve, we have only seen one of the playable monster types in the game. That monster type, called the Goliath, seems like a formidable foe, even for a four-player team, but there will apparently be other options available to players when the game launches later this year.

Evolve Teaser New Details February 11

In all honesty, anything that Turtle Rock shows on Tuesday will likely be compelling enough to further fuel our interest in the game. This was a game few saw coming, but one that once we learned a little more about sounded like a ton of fun. The concept is pretty simple: a team of four players of different classes tries to hunt a large monster that, in turn, is hunting the players. However, as the monster eliminates its hunters it starts to evolve, gaining new abilities and becoming stronger.

That in and of itself is an advantage, but we anticipate there are a few more mechanics in play that will help the singular monster contend with four aggressive combatants. Could those new mechanics be part of the reveal? Check back here on February 11th to find out what's next for Evolve.

What do you hope to see in the next Evolve teaser? What about the game has you the most intrigued?

Evolve is targeting a Q3 2014 release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
