It's been a rather Evolve-centric day for fans of the forthcoming four-on-one multiplayer title, and Turtle Rock Studios has yet another surprise for those following the escapades of four ragtag hunters and a massive beast. After releasing the first ever trailer for Evolve, many fans were a little confused that the team would release a cinematic trailer when the community surrounding the game was dying to see actual gameplay. Fortunately, those pleas haven't fallen on deaf ears, as 2K Games and Turtle Rock released a trailer showing off the game in action.

The newly released media provides an inside look into some of the underlying details in regards to the abilities of the hunters — the medic, trapper, assault, and support — as well as the player-controlled monster as well. A lot of thought has gone into the design and balance of Evolve, and this latest trailer shows proves that. With that said, actually seeing the title in action is reassuring of the product, and there are even more features, characters, and monsters still left to be unveiled.

Evolve Gameplay Trailer

As previously revealed, hunters will be locked in a first-person view akin to the Left 4 Dead franchise that Turtle Rock previously worked on. Meanwhile, the monster will provide users with a third-person view of the action so that they can better assess situations and the environment around them, as well as get a glimpse of the actual scale of the beast as it continues to feed and grow.

Visuals for Evolve are also on-par with what was present in the 'Happy Hunting' trailer that was comprised of in-engine cinematics. Suffice to say, the game looks great and the gameplay itself appears to be just as fun as the Game Informer screenshots made it seem.

What did you think of the gameplay trailer? Are you looking forward to Evolve?
