As eSports teams prepare for their next seasons, news on whether players will stay or move on is coming. In the League of Legends competitive scene, one of the first major announcements came from Evil Geniuses. A recent tweet announced that the esports organization was releasing Brandini from its roster.

After joining Evil Geniuses in January, LoL top-laner Brandon "Brandini" Chen helped his team win second place in the championship finals this past April. When Evil Geniuses announced Chen's departure, it thanked him and wished him "all the best."

Chen responded on Twitter with his own statement. He said that while he was only leaving after one season, he was grateful for the opportunity to play with the team. He thanked the team for teaching him the difference between criticism and toxicity. In an attached tweet, he thanked his teammates for being "the best" he could have asked for. Regarding his next steps, Chen said he would be going to Korea to "re-evaluate and train" for the next season. He also assured fans that he would continue streaming and making YouTube videos.
