After almost instantaneously becoming A24's highest-grossing film domestically, Everything Everywhere All at Once is now officially the studio's highest-grossing movie worldwide. Following its limited release in March, the film managed to initially bring in over $500,000 across a mere ten venues in NYC, LA, and San Francisco, despite only being able to work with a $25 million budget.

However, Everything Everywhere All at Once eventually expanded to over 2200 screens across the US. The film has luckily been able to reach more and more people over time and has simultaneously remained in the top 10, weekend after weekend, at the box office as well. The critically acclaimed film featured seasoned actor and action star Michelle Yeoh in a role that fans have never quite seen her take on before. The genre-bending and time-travelling film showcased a side of cinema that hasn’t been brought forth to the public for some time. Everything Everywhere All at Once follows an aging Chinese immigrant (Yeoh) who suddenly finds herself tasked with an inter-dimensional adventure in order to ultimately save the fate of her own world. Throughout the film, Yeoh's character must learn how to channel her newfound powers in order to explore alternate universes, which allows her to unpack a lot of her unhealed childhood trauma.

Everything Everywhere All at Once tackles first-generation trauma and ancestral trauma on a global platform, providing long-needed representation of communities of color who have undergone so much collective harm. The film brought forth a new narrative and story that has never quite been told or captured like this before. Therefore, many believed that Everything Everywhere All at Once had a fair chance at beating out its rivals, A24's Uncut Gems and Lady Bird. Now, as reported by Deadline, Everything Everywhere All at Once has officially surpassed A24's hit horror movie, Hereditary.

Hereditary served as A24's highest-grossing film ever worldwide, bringing in $80.2 million - that is until Everything Everywhere All at Once made its theatrical debut and earned $80.9 million so far. Everything Everywhere All at Once has yet to open in territories such as Latin America, France, Italy, and Japan, which will undoubtedly only increase its record-breaking box-office status and earnings. As of right now, the movie is currently showing in over a thousand theatres across North America. Everything Everywhere All at Once's expected final earnings domestically it set to be an impressive $70 million.

A24 is a renowned, award-winning film studio. A24 may be best known for their films The Tragedy of Macbeth and Best-Picture winner Moonlight, just to name a few. Following the overwhelming amount of support and love the film has received so far, it's natural to assume that Everything Everywhere All at Once will be making a splash during award season. The multiverse movie seems to only continue to grow its fan base, so whether the film does end up receiving an Oscar nomination, Everything Everywhere All at Once has already won amongst audiences.
